Every item from Barn Owl Custom Leather is made to order — built specifically for you, by hand, from start to finish. Here's everything you need to know about placing a custom order.
How It Works
- Browse & Purchase — Find the product that fits your needs and place your order through the store. Don't worry about getting every detail perfect at checkout — that's what the next step is for.
- We Connect — After your order is placed, I'll reach out directly (usually within 1–2 business days) to discuss your style choices, personalization details, sizing (for belts), and any upgrades.
- Crafting Begins — Once we've confirmed all the details, I get to work. Every cut, stamp, carve, and stitch is done by hand in my shop.
- Delivery — Your finished piece is carefully packaged and shipped directly to you.
Don't See What You're Looking For?
My product listings cover the most common requests — but they're just the beginning. If you have something specific in mind that you don't see in the shop, reach out anyway. Chances are I can make it. I've built everything from custom gun rigs to one-of-a-kind gifts, and I love a good challenge. If it can be made from leather, let's talk.
Turnaround Time
Most custom pieces take 6–8 weeks from order confirmation to shipment. Complex pieces with extensive carving or multiple upgrades may take slightly longer. I'll always keep you updated on your order's progress.
Personalization & Upgrades
Most products can be personalized or upgraded. Common options include:
- Custom initials or lettering (+$7 per letter)
- Painted flowers (+$20–$30 depending on product)
- Dyed background (+$20–$40 depending on product)
- Two-tone leather (+$30–$40 depending on product)
- Custom knife molding for sheaths (+$30)
- 2" binder rings for portfolios (+$20)
Upgrade costs are invoiced separately after we connect and confirm your order details.
Belt Sizing
⚠️ Belt sizing is different from pants size. After you place a belt order, I'll send you a detailed sizing guide to ensure a perfect fit before I begin crafting.
